Sneak Peek and a chance to win....

We have two new pattern booklets coming out just in time for Quilt Market. The quilts are absolutely beautiful and filled with color! This first quilt is named Trade Winds and the second one is Fireworks. Each booklet includes a section on choosing color and each one also has suggestions for other colorways and smaller projects. Be sure to look for ordering information next week.

For a chance to win one of 3 sets of autograhed copies, leave a comment telling us the title of your favorite Possibilities' book. There are over 70 to choose from and if you need a refresher you can see them all here. Also, don't forget the kid's sewing books.

A few simple rules:

  • Please leave only one comment per person.
  • Make sure to include your blog or email contact so we can let you know if you've won.
  • If you post anonymously, we may not be able to contact you, so please check for the winners on May 13, 2009.
  • Winners will be chosen at random using the random.org interger generator.
  • Winners will be posted on May 13, 2009.

To post a comment to most blogs, just click the "comments" link at the end of the post. For example, when I just looked at our blog it said "48 comments". Clicking on that link takes you to a new page where you can read all of the comments, and post your own.

Good Luck,

Lynda and Nancy

Super Simple Squares is my absolute favorite Possibilites book, with Super Simple Fat Quarter Quilts a close second. I have made so many quilts from these two books. They versatility of the patterns is wonderful! I also love the tips on how to use up extra squares by making interesting backings or matching pillows or pillowcases.

Lynn said...

Oh my gosh, I must say that I love the Forever Friends! I just finished a quilt usin the hoochy borders I made in Mary Lou Weidman's Asilomar Class....in fact, you both, Nancy and Marilyn, were in that class and sat close to me. Such talent in the room!! I had not used the borders for anything until recently and did your August calendar girl, (blown up 200%) for the actual quilt. It is currently posted on Mary Lou's site, August 23,2009 blog, if you wish to see it. Thank you both for great patterns, designs and inspirations. Smiles, Lynn

My favorite book by Possibilities is the Positively Pineapples. I have made quilts, place mats and wall hangings and used inspirations of other designs to assemble my "take" of the quilt. I even taught a couple classes to my local guild and they all bought rulers so they could get a great block too. The 2nd pineapple book is ok, but not my favorite. But surprise me with book #3. The minute I saw Fiesta, I knew it was my kind of quilt. I work at a quilt shop in Sharonville, Ohio. I put a sign on our first copy that said, New Class, Sign Up Now, Date and Time to be announced. The shop owner talked a fellow quilter into teaching the class. It was an immediate hit. Our "group" is exploring similar patterns you create for our next "class". Your sneak peak may be the next!! Thanks for color fun quilts. From eimay@aol.com

My favorite Possibilities book has to be BEST OF SEWING MACHINE FUN. Since I teach a middle school sewing class of 6th-8th grade girls and boys, the book has been invaluable in helping to guide the class in beginning sewing. The activities in the book have really helped the kids to gain confidence in using the classroom machines, and attempting the projects that they have worked on.
With the "jump start" that the BEST OF SEWING MACHINE FUN has given to my students, they have been able to design and make quilts. They have taken the quilts on their annual mission trips to Juarez and on our Ministry in Motion trips to inner city Denver underserved children and elderly adults.
