What a cheery design! Congratulations on making the list! As for when I first thought about quilting? It comes from my love of fabric- I cannot be let loose in a fabric store/area- the colors especially excite me. Quilting gives me an excuse. The free pattern looks like a fun one to do. My favorite notion - that's like choosing a favorite child...impossible! But a couple would be the no-waste ruler (which I have just recently discovered) for making flying geese blocks, blue pens which wash away for drawing on fabrics, and light weight fusible for applique. blessings, marlene

What a pretty block and I love the table runner. One of my favorite notions is a clip that fastens on my shirt. It has a loop that snaps onto a pair of scissors and a cord that springs back, so I can always have my scissors to clip threads handy while I sew. Otherwise, I'm always looking for my scissors!
